How to turn on encrypted email notifications

  • We have now added Pretty Good Privacy (PGP) to receive encrypted email notifications (such as new trade, new payment, trade finalization, or new chat message notifications).
  • Pretty Good Privacy is an encryption program that provides cryptographic privacy and authentication for data communication. PGP is used for signing, encrypting, and decrypting e-mails and to increase the security of e-mail communications.
  • Please remember not to reply to these email notifications, as your replies won't reach your trading partners and won’t be encrypted. The encryption is only for the emails you receive, not for the replies you send.
  • To decrypt email notifications, use a PGP-compatible email client. We recommend FairEmail, a privacy-focused, open-source client that doesn't store data on third-party servers. It's easy to set up and compatible with most providers, including Gmail, Outlook, and Yahoo!.

How to setup?

  1. Go to Settings and open the 'Notifications' tab.
  2. After you open the tab window, check the 'Encrypt Email Notifications with PGP' checkbox.
  3. Set a passphrase for your private key and press the 'Generate keys' button.
  4. Import the private key & public key to your email client and press the 'Save changes' button.

How to disable encrypted email notifications?

If you want to disable encrypted email notifications from our mail server, navigate back to the 'Notifications' tab in your account settings and uncheck the 'Encrypt Email Notifications' checkbox.

Congratulations! Now you can respond to your customers instantly!
